Hoboken Family Planning (HFP) became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1974. For more than 50 years, HFP has been a trusted provider of high-quality, affordable reproductive and preventive health care for low-income communities across Hudson and Union Counties in New Jersey. Hoboken Family Planning operates three community-based clinics—in Hoboken, West New York, and Union City—and is committed to delivering comprehensive services regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. In 2024 HFP launched their new mobile clinic, which extends critical reproductive health and cancer screening services directly into underserved communities, ensuring accessible, high-quality care for individuals who may face barriers to traditional healthcare settings.
The Opportunity
Hoboken Family Planning seeks a visionary and mission-driven Executive Director (ED) to lead the organization into its next chapter of impact and growth. The ED will serve as the chief executive, responsible for strategic leadership, financial oversight, fundraising, program execution, and organizational culture development. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will oversee the annual budget, lead a committed and long-tenured team, and steward relationships with funders, public agencies, and the communities HFP serves. This is a rare opportunity for rising leader to provide direction and development to a deeply respected organization that plays a vital role in women’s health, health equity, and care access.
Location, Compensation and Benefits
Hoboken Family Planning’s Central Administrative Office is located at 124 Grand St. Hoboken, NJ. Given the oversight of clinical operations, regular in-person presence is strongly preferred, ideally daily. However, the organization recognizes the need for flexibility and is open to discussing arrangements based on organizational and leadership needs. Salary is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skill set level and years of previous/applicable experience. The salary range for this role is between $175,000 - $200,000 with a strong benefit package.
